Former Aide To Puerto Rican Senator Pleads Guilty To Money Laundering Conspiracy
Alberto Goachet, 67, of Puerto Rico and a political consultant and former aide to Senator Jorge De Castro Font, pleaded guilty last week to his involvement in a conspiracy to illegally laundering campaign contributions. Goachet admitted to the one count to providing fake invoices for political consulting work to Font in order to launder political contributions from a third party businessman. De Castro Font, 45 and pictured here facing the press, was indicted in October for allegedly receiving as much as $525,000 in bribes.
