Donna B. Beardsley, 46, of Greenwood, South Carolina, the former bank manager at Carolina First Bank, pleaded guilty to embezzling some $600,000 from the financial institution. Beardsley was confronted by US Secret Service Agents and admitted to the thefts, which occurred between April 2007 and July 2008, and that she used the funds to purchase land, make home improvements and pay off credit card debts. What was this woman thinking, she has wonderful kids and a super husband. Life can be full of surprises. What she did was very selfish and greedy! I think she got a slap on the hand and should have done more time for her punishment.
ReplyDeleteI know this family and I would have never suspected her to do something so selfish as this. Great husband and children. They are the ones who suffer the most.
