Kathy Valdez, 41, the finance manager for Southwest Applied Technology College in Cedar City, Utah, was arrested Friday on second degree felony embezzlement charges. The amount of money allegedly stolen has not been disclosed, nor have the circumstances of the case. College officials identified "serious irregularities" in their banking records which apparently led to the arrest. She is currently in jail pending a preliminary hearing. Does anyone know the staus of this case? I heard she was convicted. Is this true, if so when?
