Update: Hartford Mayor Pleads Not Guilty To Bribery Charges

Hartford Mayor, Eddie Perez, 51, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to bribery and other charges and vowed to fight to clear his name. He is accused of hiring Carlos Costa, a contractor with major contracts with the city, to do $40,000 worth in renovations on his home, but only paid for half of it.
