Update: New Hampshire Woman Sentenced In $300K Swim & Tennis Club Embezzlement Case

Rebecca McGuire, 52, of Amherst, New Hampshire, has been sentenced to to three concurrent 3 1⁄2-to 7-year terms for embezzling $311,500 from the Jasper Valley Swim and Tennis Club where she had been employed as a volunteer treasurer. A two year investigation revealed that over a nearly ten year period, McGuire had withdrawn cash and written at least 656 fraudulent checks on Jasper Valley's accounts to cash or to herself. According to McGuire's attorney, she has been making arrangements to satisfy the $300,000 restitution order. A separate civil suit by Jasper Valley to recover the loss has reportedly been settled. McGuire who was originally arrested and indicted last November, plead guilty three felony counts of "theft by unauthorized taking" in August 2009.

I haven't heard from Becky, but I might plan a trip to Goffstown NH and allow Becky to have her questions answered. Unlike the coward that her husband is, Charles McGuire, I can allow someone to vent to me, to my face.

Something Charlie has never allowed me to do.

Dear Anonymous,

If visiting Becky gives you closure, then go get your closure.
It's obvious you'll never get it from your (former) honey.
Good Luck!

Happy Anniversary Becky!

You know what is really sad? With good behavior, Becky could be released from prison anytime in the next 12 months. Holy Crap! That means she can come back to JVST and write herself more checks, for example, plastic surgery for her face, or more renovatiions to the property on the Flume, or.....more horse back riding trips to Colorado for that spoiled brat of a daughter alex.

Thankfully, I for one have moved on with my life and put this all behind me. And in so doing, I have been rewarded ten-fold. There is no dollar amount that could be placed on the peace and happiness I now have. In closing this chapter of my life, I never imagined how sweet and precious the reward would be.

Who here thinks Becky will divorce her hubby now that she's in jail and no longer burdened with the household expenses?

Who here thinks her hubby (Chucky) will divorce her (Becky) now that she is no longer any use to him...or to his "bottom" line???

In other words.......{drumroll}

A marriage of CONVENIENCE !!!

Does anyone know if becky is going to be released from state custody anytime soon? Has anyone heard any news?

Once a thief.....

I hear Becky is petitioning the Parole Board for early release, and they are considering it!

Her "Get out of jail FREE" card could happen as early as next week.

Now everybody be nice. We have a rehabilitated citizen coming back to Amherst. Maybe she'll even get a free membership for her and her family to JVST.

Would that be like a "Welcome Back" present?

I wonder how the thieves are celebrating Thanksgiving. Maybe alex will dress up as an Indian girl again when visiting her mother in jail.

I wonder if she's out yet.

I don't think so, it won't be three years until this October and even then she'll face opposition from JVST and any other victims.

Becky hass been released. I hear she has a new piece of jewelery around her ankle.

Ah, but does she have a new strategy to keep her husband from straying away from home...

I like the comment back in the earlier comments about "put in the village stocks and rotten cabbage thrown at her shaved head". Let's bring this practice back!

I knew Becky in NY before she stole another womans bf named Charlie. She was always looking forprestige. She pranced around with her nose in the air.She was always looking for the guy with the biggest paycheck. She set her eyes on Charlie even though he was dating someone else.I m surprised that she resorted to doing an illegal act but, maybe I'm not.The thought of her in prison makes me laugh. You cant be hoity hoity in prison.Good luck Miss Becky.
