According to the Lowell Sun, Irene M. Nutter, 47, of Tyngsboro, Massachusetts, has been convicted of or charged with embezzling some $266,000 from three different employers since 2005. Nutter has been charged with embezzling $34,000 from Reactive Innovations LLC, a local company where she had been employed. Nutter allegedly forged 15 checks and also took out two credit cards jointly in her name and the company, with which she made 80 purchases for her own benefit. Nutter reportedly spent the funds on cruises, gambling junkets and other luxury items. Also, according to the Lowell Sun article, Nutter was sentenced in December 2007 to one year in prison after pleading guilty to embezzling more than $226,000 in 2005 from Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc., in New Hampshire and one of its clients, Shaw's Supermarkets. Further, Nutter was also accused of embezzling $6,000 from Parrot Digigraphic, in Billerica, Massachusetts where she was employed briefly while awaiting sentencing in the Sedgwick case. She plead guilty to this last case in August 2009 and was ordered to pay restitution.

I, too have been a victim of Irene Nutter. In 2007, while employed at my business, she embezzled over $100,00. I was told by the FBI that she should "write a book on white collar crime", she was able to cover her tracks very well and I was never reimbursed. Since that time, she continues to use me as an "employment reference"!
Irene was very rude to me most of the time and also callous to my sons during football practices in Londonderry. she acted like she was above everyone. I feel bad for her husband and sons, though. Im not sad to hear about her situation.
Does anyone have a photo of her? I have a person who just started in my office today with this name in Mass, I'm wondering if it's her!!
Thanks
I knew Irene Nutter when she served on the board at a local football organization with me, I suspected she was stealing then but never had any proof. To think someone would steal from neighbors and 'friends' who are paying for their children to play football or cheer. She was a strange woman and very rude. I liked her husband and sons, she just didn't seem to fit.
I too experienced Irene during football, she was very rude to me and my sons and looked down upon us. My sons were always trying to avoid her. She is a terrible sick person. I feel sorry for her boys, now grown men. I feel sorry for her husband also. she had the nerve to invite us to her home for a party and then completely ignored us and acted like we were there for a hand out. What a sick twisted despicable person. Acting like she was so much better than all of us and so wealthy and then to find out she was stealing money. Probably skimming from the snack shack too. That had to be why she volunteered. total scum
My wife and I knew Irene before she got married. We were friends with them for several years. She was very mentally and verbally abusive to her husband. She worked as a cashier at a dept store and got caught. She had not rung up a few item that totaled over $300 for her siblings. They refused to give them back. So e went to them and insisted they grturn them or they would be charged and join her in jail (a lie). It worked to keep her from being arrested. I was totally embarrassed having to bring her and the items to the dept store. I had gone against my moral compass to help her. We lost contact by moving away. I feel now that if I had not been what I thought was being a good friend and helping her. She would have probably learned a lesson and not be in this position. I feel so sad for her husband and their two wonderful boys.
