Lance E. Bauer, 26, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for embezzling $227,764 from a customer's account at the local Park Bank branch where he had served as assistant branch manager. According to authorities, in 2009, Bauer cashed a bank client's certificate of deposit and then deposited the proceeds into his own account. According to the prosecutor, Bauer stole the money to support a drug habit. Bauer was originally indicted last November and pleaded guilty this past January.Tuesday, April 26, 2011
