Melissa Kay Grawey, 42, of Petoskey, Michigan, was sentenced to 11 months in prison for embezzling more than $96,000 from Northern Dental Group, PC. where she had been employed as an office manager. Grawney allegedly forged checks from the company over a 2 1/2 year period. Grawey was originally charged last May with eight felonies, including criminal enterprise, embezzlement between $50,000 and $100,000, forgery, and uttering and publishing.Thursday, January 7, 2010
