Loren Larry Mundt, 52, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, is currently on trial for embezzling more than $100,000 in cash and equipment from Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, where he had been employed as the hospital's facilities director. According to prosecutors, Mundt collected cash from vending machines, had checks issued to himself and kept or sold hospital equipment. Mundt, who was originally arrested in 2007, faces more than 30 years in prison, if convicted.
