Update: Virginia Man To Plead Guilty In $666K Golf Resort Embezzlement Scandal

Michael D. Comer, 45, of Milton Village, Virginia, is reportedly set to plead guilty to five counts of embezzlement for having misappropriated $666,000 from the Glenmore Community Association where he had served as treasurer since 1994. Comer's fraud scheme lasted about 3 years. According to media accounts, Comer is married to former club golf pro Kandi Kessler and Glenmore was founded by his late father-in-law, Frank Kessler. His mother-in-law Peggy Kessler and brother-in-law, Jeff Gaffney, have agreed to pay the restitution by August. Comer and his wife, as well as Peggy Kessler, have put their luxury homes up for sale. Comer will be in court May 5th to formally plead in the case.
