Connecticut Woman Odered To Make Restitution In Embezzlement Case

Lori Wadman, 44, of Southington, Connecticut, was sentenced to a suspended five year jail term and ordered to repay $62,000 in restitution to her former employer, Connecticut Cap and Seal of New Britain, Connecticut, after pleading guilty to charges of first-degree larceny, second-degree forgery and second-degree larceny. She was employed at the company for a four year period between 2002 and 2006 and arrested in July 2007. The company sued her in a civil action claiming that she stole some $180,000. According to the civil case, Wadman wrote checks on the company's account to herself, her husband and her husband's construction company, or transferred funds electronically. She also paid credit card bills using company funds. She had already paid back $65,000, according to reports. In the criminal case, Wadman was also accused to using her mother's credit card for fraudulent transactions.

SHE did not pay the 65000, her husbands family did, thinking that that was an isolated incident, little did we know the woman has embezzzled over a million dollars total and got a .....suspended sentence? Well hey, lets ALL go and steal, you will just get probation!!
