Bail Reduction Denied For Woman Accused Of Stealing $1.67 Million From Florida Law Firm

Angela Marie Dees, 33, of Punta Gorda, Florida, was denied a defense request for a reduction in her bail today while she is being held in custody on embezzlement charges. Dees was charged last month with 259 counts of fraud, forgery and theft from the law firm of Punta Gorda-based Moore and Waksler where she had worked since 2002. The total loss exceeds $1.67 million, according to investigators. Her current bail is set at $657,000. She allegedly spent about $500,000 on family entertainment and restaurants, according to police investigators.
