Former Continental Airlines Ticket Agent Sentenced In Fraudulent Ticket Scam

Supanee “Tami” Morris, 44, of Houston, Texas was sentenced to 46 months in prison for defrauding Continental Airlines out of some $668,647 worth in fraudulent tickets she issued. She was also ordered to pay restitution. Morris was convicted by a jury on September 22, 2008 of 11 counts: one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and 10 counts of wire fraud. Morris and a co-conspirator and co-defendant, Toussaint Washington, another former Continental Airlines employee, with issuing unauthorized e-tickets which they then sold to third parties for cash. According to prosecutors, the two issued more than 1000 tickets between 2004 and 2005. Washington was also found guilty of similar charges.
