Arnold Ramos Pastor, 44, the former Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office jail chief who has been indicted on charges he embezzled nearly $360,000 from the county, will have a hearing on the case in February, according to prosecutors. Pastor was indicted in April on charges of embezzlement of public funds. He faces 10 years in prison, plus fines and restitution if convicted. Pastor has admitted to taking the funds over a 7 year period and plans on paying it back, according to his attorney.Read the story here, here and here.
