Hawaii Man Charged In Alabama Investment Fraud Case

The Alabama Securities Commission announced Thursday that William Randle Villa, 53, of Maui, has been extradited to Alabama and held on $200,000 bond after his indictment for violating Alabama securities laws. Villa took $400,000 from Alabama investors in a fraudulent investment scheme involving Lifeline Imaging Systems, Inc. of California, allegedly for body imaging centers. Villa was charged with two counts each of sale of unregistered securities and sale of securities by an unregistered agent. Three Lifeline executives, Randy Morton, Daniel Caterino and Candice Lynn Lewis, were previously indicted and arrested Dec. 18 for alleged securities registration and fraud charges in Alabama. Together, it is alleged that they raised more than $15 million in fraudulent investment funds.
