Former Treasury Department Contractor Gets 2-1/2 Years For Bribery

Daniel Money, 44, of Shady Side, Maryland, was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for bribing a government official with $55,000 to win a contract. He was also ordered to pay nearly $100,000 in profits gained from the fraudulently won contract. Money is the owner of Daniel Construction, which provided maintenance, repair, electrical, construction and other related services for government agencies. He was also found guilty of stealing 600 gallons of diesel fuel and ordered to reimburse the Treasury Department $2,250.
