Jacqueline C. Wright, 41, of Temple Heights, was sentenced last month to 15 months in prison, plus restitution, for her role in defrauding the D.C. Department of Tax and Revenue in a phony refund scam that netted her some $184,00. Wright pleaded guilty to mail fraud in August. She was accused of manipulated the department's computer system to issue fraudulent tax refund checks to herself and her boyfriend, Michael Clark, 32. Clark was sentenced to 6 months in a halfway house last month for his role in the scam.
